So, I've found myself a little busy and yet wanting to continue my weekly webcomic Jip:
[link]I'm busy because I'm doing all this other comic work to either [a] pitch to comic titles to get work [b] get published in small-press anthologies [c] self-publish or digitally publish and also I'm working on a Jip game. Seriously. This doesn't leave me with as much time to do Jip as I'd like, so I kinda need a colourist. Any of you guys interested in collaborating?
It's only flat colour and a 25% multiply black shadowing layer for the most part (every now and then there's something special like a reflective monitor, but such effects are used sparingly and I might do those strips anyway), but you'd need to know your stuff when it comes to such shading because it's an important part of the style. Colour work would also include cleanup of the line-art, post-scan since this is also a bit of a timesink; although neither role take as much time as actually drawing and inking the thing, but it will still save me some time.
I'm afraid this isn't a paid opportunity (Jip would have to be netting me an income for me to offer that) but since I'm going to be really pushing Jip in the near future, you can consider yourself 'on the team' and privy to a share in anything it
does make, if it ever does. And I get to actually collaborate with someone.
Thanks,
J
